Your support saves lives
We are grateful for your interest in becoming a sustaining member thereby supporting our work in Greece on a permanent basis. With a regular donation we are able to plan our work sustainably and ensure urgently needed help for refugees.
- 5 € provides antibiotic treatment for one person
- 40 € covers out weekly consumption of bandages and wound care supplies at one of our clinics
- 50 € fills our ambulance gas tank
Regardless of the amount of your contribution, we are happy that you are helping people who have to flee from war and persecution.
“I support the Medical Volunteers with regular donations because I think their work is enormously important and the situation of people fleeing is unbearable. Refugees are fellow human beings in need and not bargaining chips of politicians!”
“I know MVI Chairman Benjamin Holm from the Scouts and became aware of Medical Volunteers from his posts on social media. Since I earn money myself, I wanted to give to those who need it more than I do, just like our scouts motto, “Every day a good deed”. This is especially the case on the escape routes. MVI does really important work on the ground. When governments don’t react, civil society must not abandon our fellow human beings.”
“I found out about Medical Volunteers through a recommendation. After a little research, I was convinced that my regular donation to them would be effective and directly beneficial to refugees. At the same time, my contribution gives young people the opportunity to get involved in helping refugees on the ground. I am very well-informed by Medical Volunteers.”
“I myself have been on duty in Thessaloniki in the winter of 2019. There, MVI provides basic medical care for people whose emergency situation many people do not even know about. This is where you find the humanity that we in Europe are losing more and more. I was impressed by the work MVI has done and by the people I have had the privilege of meeting. That’s why I support them out of conviction, both personally and financially.”
“As a teacher of German as a foreign language, I regularly encounter people fleeing from war and misery to Western Europe. So I hear many moving stories. It is always clear to me how well we are doing and how lucky we are to live in this corner of the world. When I came across “Medical Volunteers International” on the Internet, I decided to support the organization on a regular basis. The work of the volunteers is urgently needed!”
Michael Teffel will be happy to answer any questions you may have on the subject of your MVI sponsorship.
